Seedlings

It's about that time to get started seeding. Starting your little babies in the basement is an option for a beginner like myself. I am looking to see how the basement holds up for the plants as they mature. It's cooler than the upstairs and hopefully with a few heat pads underfoot, they will sprout just fine.

The set-up is just a few metal shelves I purchased off Amazon and a few grow lights, pretty much shop lights. I fear I am going to have to get some more, I do not think the ones I have are going to cut the number of shelves I intend to fill.

Hope you all like to watch as things grow. I will place a timer on the plant lights so that I do not have to turn them on and off regularly. Also, I am going to water from the bottom, so that they get enough to drink, but I am not flooding them out or to the edges of the plugs.

Now, to choose what I want to plant. Since it is the beginning of February 2023, my last frost date is the first week in May. Falls first frost date is the first week in October. Leaving us approximately 151 days to grow our glorious flowers.
